Martin Luther King, Jr. had it right on so many levels.

I absolutely love the letter that MLK wrote from a Birmingham prison cell in April 1963.  He wrote it in response to a statement made by eight white Alabama clergymen on April 12, 1963, titled “A Call For Unity”. The clergymen agreed that social injustices existed but argued that the battle against racial segregation should be fought solely in the courts, not in the streets.

What King writes in response is nothing short of, in my opinion, a prophetic word about our world and the Church.  These are words we should take note of.  Read on and try to tell me this has no relevance to us today… (more…)

Although I’m a big fan of the “Caption Please” posts on a lot of blogs, I’ve decided to go a different route for Fridays here.  I’ll be sharing interesting/inspring/funny/enlightening/etc. quotes that I’ve come across in my 29 years of living.  Well, I probably didn’t remember any quotes for the first few at least…

Of course, this may change to something else over time.  Perhaps you’ll have no need for a good quote before your weekend.  I’m not too prideful that I won’t change directions.  But for now, this is what I’m going with.

I’ll let the cat out of the bag and say that a majority of these will more than likely come from C.S. Lewis, as he’s LEGIT.  With that said, here is today’s quote.
