One Band/Artist- Your Pick

I love live music.

You know, good live music.

The sound, the crowd’s excitement, the performance.  It really doesn’t get much better (when it’s good).

So, if you could pick…

One band.

One artist.

Live.

Who would it be and why?

My answer, you ask?  Easy.  Coldplay, for no other reason than to experience “Fix You” live.

Either John mayer or Coldplay. I’ll call it a tie.

JM would be way up there for me, too. But if it’s one, it’s Coldplay for me…hands down.

    hands down..Coldplay…or Frank Sinatra…

Well, your chances of seeing Coldplay are certainly better than Frank…just sayin’. :)

right now… needtobreathe. i love me some acoustic, percussion, and perfect harmony.

Needtobreathe is some pretty good stuff. The lead singer’s voice reminds me of some good ‘ole Sister Hazel from back in the college days!

Bring on some Shane & Shane.

    • Josh June 1, 2010 at 1:32 pm #

Meredith, have you seen them live before?!? I’ve seen them four times now, I believe. Un. be. lievable.

      • Meredith June 1, 2010 at 2:34 pm #

no…I haven’t. And I’m pretty upset about it. Considering I’m from TX, the country from which they hail, you’d think I would have. I won’t lie, I’m more than a little jealous that you have seen them that many times! Can’t say that I blame you though.

        • Josh June 1, 2010 at 9:14 pm #

Well, since you’ve given it away that you live in Texas…you have absolutely no choice but to see them at least twice before the end of ‘10. This is your mission, should you choose to accept it. :)

          • Meredith June 1, 2010 at 9:18 pm #

Ahh, touche. But you didn’t read carefully enough. I said I’m “from” Texas and you mistakenly inferred that I still currently reside there. False.
Alas, I have migrated north to the lovely state of Colorado, where I work for Compassion International. So… unless Shane & Shane decide to visit the Rockies, I fear I am at a loss.

Dangit! I stand (well, actually I’m sitting) corrected. :) It does look like they’re in Denver for 2 days in November….may be a conference, though.

              • Meredith June 2, 2010 at 12:02 pm #

I like conferences… I like Denver even more. And November is my birthday month! Happy birthday to me! From shane & shane.

The Fray. Saw them at House of Blues in Dallas. A-frickin-mazing!! Best concert I’ve ever been to!

    • Josh June 1, 2010 at 9:15 pm #

My wife would agree with this choice, although she may have trouble narrowing it down to just one. I like The Fray as well, Lisa.

Since others are picking two, I will say Jack Johnson or The Killers…

    Oh and Coldplay!

OK I’ll stop at three! (Metallica might be fun too)

    • Josh June 1, 2010 at 9:19 pm #

April and I watched The Killers on Paladia the other weekend….we were both saying how that would probably be a good live show.

All good submissions, but I’m still bankin’ on some Coldplay.

I would give almost anything to see Pearl Jam live. Love the old stuff and the new stuff.

    • Josh June 1, 2010 at 9:16 pm #

I would give a pretty penny to see them play “Even Flow” live…at full volume, of course!

    I say Lifehouse or Santana
